Refreshing hints of Uomo Acqua’s woody and aromatic cardamom and cucumber wafted alongside Seductive Blue’s floral top notes of Italian bergamot, rosewater, and blue freesia as guests mingled amongst stylized displays of GUESS sunglasses, part of the Marcolin eyewear portfolio. A selection of metal aviator, classic square frame, and keychain adorned styles were coupled with candles while mannequins donned tonal GUESS watches in classic blue to compliment the aquamarine theme of the night.
Custom cocktails tied the party together, with original flavor profiles crafted to match the mood. Guests danced late into the night with three rotating DJ sets playing backdrop to a projection of GUESS’ Summer campaign against the starry sky.

Bi-Coastal fashion platform and press darling Art Hearts Fashion celebrated its Miami debut yesterday at the Funkshion tent for Miami Swim Week. Over 400 guests flooded into the posh tent for the highly anticipated inaugural runway show featuring the collections of both nationally and internationally acclaimed designers.
Celebrity favorite Mister Triple X opened the showcase with streetwear inspired swimwear for men and women. Next to the runway was the crowd pleaser Just Bones Boardwear. An array of models sporting washboard abs and patterned trunks got the energy and excitement in the room going full force. Following, Koco Blaq debuted a collection of inspired swimwear full of bright colors and never before seen designs. LA designer CA-RIO-CA SUNGA CO. brought true Brazilian flavor to the runway with their powerful collection, opening and closing their segment with special performances of traditional Brazilian dance and martial arts movement. Closing the show was internationally renowned couture designer Amato Haute Couture. A collection of intricate bodices each more stunning than the last brought the night to an immaculate close.

Durante Swim Week 2016, Lolli Swim organizó una fiesta de preview en el Edition Hotel en Miami y debutó su colección 2016 BESTiES. Esta presentación se hizo en colaboración con Amuse Society. Los invitados disfrutaron de cócteles en un ambiente al aire libre, mientras que los modelos mostraron los estilos más nuevos de la marca.

During Swim Week 2016, Lolli Swim hosted a preview party at the Edition Hotel in Miami and debuted its 2016 BESTiES collection. This presentation was done in collaboration with Amuse Society. Guests sipped on cocktails in an outdoors setting while models showed off the brand’s newest styles.
Inspired by best friends, Lolli’s collection tells a story about BFFs who drift through long summer days of sunshine as they make magical memories together. Dreamy slumber parties, trips up the coast, yummy picnics… these babes do it all.
Staying true to their girly meets sexy aesthetic, Lolli showed a selection of flirty suits in a pastel pink, white and cream color palette. Figure flattering silhouettes like shirred v-neck one pieces, high waist bottoms with bralettes, and crop tops were embellished with darling details like ruffles, colored stitching, lace, floral appliqués and striped patterns. The swim looks were completed with beachy hairstyles and fresh makeup looks by Be Glammed, heart shaped sunglasses by Paired Eyewear, ruffled socks by Living Royal Socks, colorful heels and shell accessories.
Lolli Swim was also excited to have sponsorship support from Tidal New York, a flip flop brand made in the USA, S’well, reusable water bottles, Sun Bum, an SPF sunscreen brand, Bikini Bird, an online swimsuit retailer, Perrier, sparkling natural mineral water, and Svedka Vodka.

Lo utilizamos siempre que nos exponemos al sol, pero ¿sabemos diferenciar entre el protector solar y el bloqueador solar? ¿Verdaderamente conocemos cómo funciona? En este artículo te explicaremos qué los compone, sus beneficios, cómo trabajan y todo lo que tenemos que conocer a la hora de escoger el protector solar y el bloqueador solar para nuestra piel.
El protector solar está compuesto de óxido de zinc, hierro y titanio. Normalmente es conocido por sus siglas en inglés SPF. Los protectores brindan protección contra la radiación ultravioleta (UVB). Como dato importante a la hora de escoger un protector solar, debemos observar cuidadosamente el número que acompaña las siglas. Éste, te indicará el tiempo que puedes estar expuesto al sol sin necesidad de aplicarte nuevamente el producto.
Otro dato que tenemos que tener presente es que el protector de un SPF 15 absorbe 92% de la radiación UVB y un protector de SPF 30 absorbe más de 97% de la radiación UVB. Para el mejor uso de estos se tienen que aplicar 30 minutos antes de exponerte al sol. También es recomendable que este se utilice todos los días para proteger la piel. El protector solar también nos beneficia porque además evita el envejecimiento, manchas y pecas en la piel, la hidrata y previene la aparición de cáncer.
Por otro lado, tenemos el bloqueador solar. Éste está compuesto de óxido de zinc o de titanio, componentes que facilitan el poder reflejar los rayos e impedir que alcancen tu piel. Este bloqueador, normalmente conocido por sus siglas en inglés FSP, también nos indica el tiempo en que podemos estar expuestos al sol sin necesitar una nueva aplicación del producto. Así, con un 50+ te protegerá de 25-30 minutos; el de 30+ te protegerá por 20 minutos y para finalizar el de 15+ te protege por sólo 10 minutos.
Parte de su ayuda es que evita que el sol no afecte nuestra piel de forma negativa al bloquear sus efectos creando una capa protectora. No importa en qué temporada estés, el bloqueador solar debe convertirse en un producto de uso diario, ya que nos exponemos constantemente a las radiaciones solares. Algunos de sus beneficios son el prevenir el envejecimiento prematuro y la enfermedad de cáncer en la piel.
En conclusión, lo más saludable para nuestra piel en la temporada de verano es el protector solar, debido a que éste nos protege por un periodo de tiempo más largo que el bloqueador solar.
Runway Australia presented two of Australia’s elite swimwear brands Jewels & Grace and Allerton at 1 Hotel South Beach, Collins Street Miami for the closing of SwimMiami last night. The show attracted great interest from the likes of WGSN intimates, Fashionista, Cosmopolitan, and Disfunkshion magazine to name a few.
Runway Australia promotes, a collective of Australia’s most innovative labels that are pushing boundaries, and setting Swim and Resort trends. It recognizes brands for their originality, local manufacturing status, and strong trends-translation ability. Runway Australia event was sponsored by The South Florida BMW Centers (BMWsfl.com – Braman, BMW Miami, Lauderdale BMW of Ft. Lauderdale and Pembroke Pines, South BMW, Vista BMW of Coconut Creek and Pompano Beach).
Allerton opened Runway Australia with one of its sportier looks, which incorporated the brands exclusive light reflective prints. The brand takes inspiration from the concept of layering; playing simultaneously with the idea of revealing and concealing. A minimal and functional approach results in the ultimate blend of sports luxe combining a smooth balance of fashion, function and fit.
We saw a collection of separates that together formed a concise and refined range with a focus on interchangeable color ways and styles. Jewels and Grace closed the show with its structured double bonded one piece “Pepo” from the SS16 Redefined Horizons collection.. A fresh collection direction, where sculpted lines become the modern classic. The ocean provides the palette for the season, playful prints herald sprightly hues of tangerine and bottle green.

Both brands sported summer shoe trends from Forever 21’s current collection, complimenting the brand looks, while being a perfect tribute to the recent partnership that both brands have with Forever 21.
We asked Forever 21 about some of the key elements they look for when selecting new brands for their store. Both Australian swim brands, Jewels & Grace and Allerton form part of the Forever 21 Branded Collective. Estamos en pleno verano, las altas temperaturas son molestosas y no queremos pasar trabajo a la hora de vestir y sobre eso sentirnos incómodas. Por esas razones tomamos como inspiración este outfit de la colección de Anna Sui para esta temporada Resort 2015. Es un look sencillo pero fuerte y llego de tendencias. Y lo mejor de todo es que al inspirarte puedes ponerle tu toque de personalidad a las piezas que selecciones, basándote en los tips que te daremos.
Comenzamos con una t-shirt en color sólido con algún diseño o letras. A ésta le añadimos unos joggers con largo justo debajo de las rodillas. El pantalón debe tener un estampado de tamaño moderado que haga juego con la t-shirt. Pero, ¡precaución! los nuevos estilos de joggers vienen con la parte de las caderas muy anchas, tipo globo. Si no tienes caderas anchas que rellenen el espacio, elige un corte menos ancho con el corte de la entrepierna bastante alto. Culmina el outfit con unas sandalias con straps entrelazados y en colores. Esto le dará el pop of color que tu vestimenta necesita y lo hará más sofisticado.

We are in summer, high temperatures are annoying and we do not want to spend time choosing what to dress and then feel uncomfortable. For these reasons we took as inspiration this outfit from the Anna Sui collection for this Resort 2015 season. This is a simple but strong look with lots of trends. And best of all, as you get inspired, you can add your touch of personality to the pieces you select, based on the tips we will give you.
We begin with a t-shirt in solid color with a design or letters. To this item we added a jogger with just below the knees length. The pants should have a pattern of moderate size that goes with the t-shirt. But caution! the new styles of joggers come very wide at the hips, bubble type. If you don’t have wide hips to fill the space, choose a less wide cut with cut high near the crotch. Completes the outfit with a pair of sandals with intertwined multicolor straps. This will give the pop of color that your outfit needs and will make it more sophisticated.
