One of the most beautiful autumn changes are the leaves. Sadly such are not found in every place of North America. Some places are too cold or too dry for the leaves to change color. So we figured we would make a brief list of some places you could visit to take the perfect autumn photos and enjoy the fall foliage.
Catskills, New York
In the north of the New York City is the Catskills. This place is widely known for its beautiful historic villages, farmers markets and autumn foliage.
Bar Harbor, Maine
Maine is distinguished for the big open spaces full of fall foliage. Beautiful mountains with colorful trees are an iconic spectacle of Bar Harbor. You can walk the trails or rent a bicycle to explore the abundance of color that fall brings.
Blue Ridge Parkway, Virginia
It is said that the Blue Ridge Parkway offers the best scenic drives in the country during the months of autumn. There is also a Virginia Fall Foliage Festival held during the first two weeks of October.
Michigan’s Upper Peninsula
Besides its colorful trees, Michigan Porcupine Mountains Wilderness State Park features nearly around 100 waterfalls that top the scenery views for the fall season.
Aspen, Colorado
Named for its beautiful aspen trees, visitors enjoy every type of outdoor activities like hiking and biking. Maroon Bells offers the perfect scenery for autumn pictures.
