  • Joyas al estilo de los Oscares

    Brie Larson
    Brie Larson

    ****

There are only a few days left until we say goodbye to 2015. Many things are running in our head. Regrets of the goals we missed, the list of resolutions for 2016 and the most important question: what we are going to wear for new year’s eve? But all our options circulating in our heads depend on the type of party that we will go and if they require a dress code.

So I picked four outfits that describe a particular look. In the video below will show a gown, perfect for a formal party or a gala, with a modern twist added by using a crop top; a red, minimalist and striking jumpsuit that outlines curves and gives proportion to those who have the triangle or pear body type. Also, we present a more glamorous  style diving in the rocker-diva  that is slim-fitting with long sleeves; and the bohemian style with metallic touches to make it look appropriate for New Year’s Eve and the holidays parties that remain. All looks were matched with modern footwear always taking into consideration the focal point of the selected outfit.

I want to thank once again Johann Montes Pizarro, Macy’s Ponce Cosmetics Manager for all your help and disposition. I also want to thank Angeles Feliciano Angeles, Macy’s Ponce Clothing Manager for her help; Nancy, Counter Manager at Bobbi Brown and Joane Juarbe Counter Manager at Laura Mercier for giving us your talent;  Yasiela, Yanelli, Michelle, Pia and Giovanna for being my models; and my production team: Raquel Ortiz, Assistant Producer and Michael Ferrer, our cameraman and video editor who helped me make this production a reality.

I hope you enjoy it, and stay tuned to TRAFFIC-CHIC for many more.

Just if someone doesn’t know, I’m in Puerto Rico, with a lot of work, affected health and eager to go shopping. But this is not possible because Hurricane Erika is coming. If I had to choose between buying household essentials or buy the key fashion items to go through the storm. Unfortunately, I wisdom and reason always wins, so I’m prepared for Erika and waiting with not so open arms. But in my daydream, where I got transported to my ideal circumstances, I would go shopping at Saks Fifth Avenue. That’s why I bring my top 5 items to spend these rainy days.

Bottega Veneta Pre Fall Collection 2015
Bottega Veneta Pre Fall Collection 2015

    ****

For many, vacations are over. The rest did not stop working in summer. But the work and study periods change and we tend to change our mindset to prepare for work, traffic on the road and our image. As always, we want to look professional and fashionable and we don’t want to look like we’ll be in pool all day, that is why we took as inspiration this look from Bottega Veneta’s Pre Fall 2015 collection. We decided to give the touch of color and personality with the dress. We kept the jacket and accessories in  a solid color to have the dress as the focus of the outfit. We use low-heeled shoes to extend comfort and a small bag to keep the feeling that we are still on vacation.

  • Outfit Idea: Anna Sui Resort 2015

    Anna_Sui Resort 2015
    Anna Sui Resort 2015

By: Lourdes N Martínez and Raquel M. Ortiz

    ****

We are in summer, high temperatures are annoying and we do not want to spend time choosing what to dress and then feel uncomfortable. For these reasons we took as inspiration this outfit from the Anna Sui collection for this Resort 2015 season. This is a simple but strong look with lots of trends. And best of all, as you get inspired, you can add your touch of personality to the pieces you select, based on the tips we will give you.

We begin with a t-shirt in solid color with a design or letters. To this item we added a jogger with just below the knees length. The pants should have a pattern of moderate size that goes with the t-shirt. But caution! the new styles of joggers come very wide at the hips, bubble type. If you don’t have wide hips to fill the space, choose a less wide cut with cut high near the crotch. Completes the outfit with a pair of sandals with intertwined multicolor straps. This will give the pop of color that your outfit needs and will make it more sophisticated.
