Chic List: keep your makeup intact with these retouching products

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna - Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder

One thing you should know about me is that I despise being unprepared. To avoid the uneasy feeling I like to keep in proximity everything I’ll probably need. My small sized bags suddenly carry more than they should when I decide to do my makeup. Sure it feels great to have flawless makeup but that feeling fades along with long hours of wear and so does the impeccable outcome. I always have to retouch my makeup a bit but with the changing seasons I’ll probably need a bit more. I’ve compiled a short list of items that’ll help maintain my efforts and you’ll be able to benefit from as well.

Urban Decay – All Nighter Waterproof Makeup Setting Spray

This is a must have. When I do my makeup I like to apply setting spray after my primer. That’s a little tip I learned on the internet that’ll help my makeup last longer. I also spray it as one normally would for the last step. What can I say, I like feeling confident that my makeup won’t go anywhere.

Fenty Beauty by Rihanna – Invisimatte Instant Setting + Blotting Powder

I’m not a fan of sports but I’m certain we all watched when Rihanna was performing at the previous Super Bowl. You know that moment when she stopped to retouch her makeup, this is what she used. Perhaps one of the best marketing techniques our generation has seen but nonetheless it’s worth having. It’s compact and highly effective, I don’t know how I survived a long summer day without it.

Tatcha – Aburatorigami Japanese Blotting Papers

For years blotting papers have kept me looking my best. I am simply biased, I have them in my purse and in my car at all times. They’re great for oily and problematic skin because sometimes I don’t want to add more products. They’re most helpful when I’m wearing little to no makeup or when my skin suddenly rebels against me.
