It’s that time again when we all simultaneously know someone that’s pregnant. It could be a sister, cousin, friend, neighbor or a really nice coworker. Either way, there’s been a trend that’s all about giving new mothers a gift basket, it’s all to help them unwind and overall give much needed comfort. It comes from the idea that bringing life it’s something difficult to do yet mothers are somehow always overlooked, normally when they receive gifts it’s for their newborn baby rarely ever for them. Here are some things you might want to add if you’re planning on making a meaningful present for a mother to be.
Candles
A nice scented candle can help to cheer up and relax someone. It’ll be something nice after a long day accompanied by a warm bath. Maybe over a romantic homemade dinner with her spouse or while doing a quick meditation in the morning. No matter in what way she decides to use it she’ll benefit from having it.
Face Masks & Treatments
Opting for sheet masks is the way to go, she won’t have to get her hands dirty or waste valuable time washing it off. It’s probable that your friend won’t have time or energy to go to a spa for her regular treatments like she used to. Sometimes all we need is 5 minutes with a face mask to help our skin look its best, she will appreciate it.
Eye Treatment
Your loved one will be going through some rough nights for a while. Friends help each other look their best no matter what. Although, this will become her new best friend while she adapts to her new life.
Lip Balms
Dry lips don’t discriminate against anyone. It’ll always come in handy to have multiple around the house, in our purses, car, work, etc. Anyone would be grateful to receive it, it’s a gift that won’t go to waste.
Body Moisturizer
Is not so much relaxing but giving them the freedom to worry about something else other than dry skin. We all do it, we worry about how our hands feel dry or how horrible dry elbows look, this’ll help them focus and prioritize their time.
Body Scrub
What can be more relaxing than sleeping with freshly scrubbed skin? It’s nice to take a bit of time for yourself and doing the things that’ll make you feel comfortable in your own body, new mothers want that feeling just as much as anyone else.
Comfortable Robe
Probably the item she’ll need and use the most of all. It’ll be comfortable for when she’s walking around the house and for the baby when it’s pressed against the soft fabric trying to fall asleep.
House Slippers
This is just common sense, robes and slippers go together. Slippers can be great for those days she has to stay at home recovering. If you prefer a gift that she’ll be able to use a while longer opt for equally comfortable sandals, she’ll probably even wear them to run errands.
Hair Accessories
This one is more practical than relaxing. She’ll want her hair out of the way to be more productive. She’ll be able to go anywhere and do anything with a cute ponytail or french braid.
Gift Card
The ultimate gift, not having to cook. Consider adding a gift card to a food delivery service or a restaurant she likes, this will come in handy for a day she or her spouse don’t have the energy for a homemade meal.
