    En este otoño, el diseñador David Koma en su desfile en London Fashion Week nos dio una nueva tendencia para llevar en otoño /invierno 2014 : futurismo. De una manera muy elegante, Koma transformó piezas clásicas como vestidos cortos, blusas, abrigos y pantalones en ropa del futuro. Esto fue logrado entrelazando el cuero utilizado a los textiles principales. Los colores para lograr este “look” son el negro, gris, blanco, azul y el violeta.

    This fall, designer David Koma on his show in London Fashion Week gave us a new trend to wear in fall / winter 2014: Futurism. In a very elegant way, Koma transformed classical pieces as short dresses, blouses, coats and trousers in clothes of the future. This was accomplished by interlacing the leather used with the main textile. The colors for this look are black, gray, white, blue and violet.

    Donatella Versace nos ofrece para esta temporada de otoño 2014 una propuesta donde reinventa sus primeros diseños con su identidad para la casa Versace y nos trae una colección clásica, sexy y llena de los característicos botones circulares en color oro. El negro y el marrón se fusionaron con el turqueza y el “burgundy” para darle un “look” más otoñal. Los botines y botas con “laser cut” formaron parte del calzado de las modelos que lucieron su cabello lacio con una partidura al lado. La propuesta contó con vestidos cortos y largos junto a trajes en pantalón y mini falda para la mujer trabajadora y moderna.

    Donatella Versace offers us for this fall 2014 a proposal which reinvents her first designs with her identity for the Versace house and brings a classic, sexy collection full of the characteristic round buttons in gold. The black and brown shades merged with turquoise and burgundy to give a look more autumnal. Booties and boots with laser cut were part of the shoes models wore with their hair straight with a side part. The proposal had short and long dresses with trousers and mini skirts suits for the modern working woman.

  • Rebecca Minkoff, colección moderna y clásica para otoño/invierno 2014

    Dicen que ya todo está inventado en la moda, pero lo que que hay que hacer es reinventar la rueda. Y precisamente eso fue lo que la diseñadora Rebecca Minkoff hizo en su colección para otoño/invierno 2014. Minkoff utilizó siluetas clásicas y las confeccionó con textiles modernos e inusuales. Otra tendencia inusual es mezclar las piezas más elegantes con piezas casuales o de trabajo. Pero la más que sorprendió es el uso de colores pasteles para una temporada que se caracteriza por sus colores sobrios. Cuando vemos detenidamente, la colección tuvo un “styling” bien definido al no mezclarse en pasarela los tonos claros con tonos oscuros en un mismo “outfit”.

    They say everything is already invented in fashion, but what you need to do is to reinvent the wheel. And that’s exactly what designer Rebecca Minkoff did in her collection for autumn / winter 2014. Minkoff used classic silhouettes made with modern and unusual textiles. Another unusual trend is to mix the elegant pieces with casual pieces or work clothe. But more surprising was the use of pastel colors for a season that is characterized by its sober colors. When we look carefully, the collection had a well defined styling that did not mixed light tones with dark shades on the same outfit.

Tadashi Shoji nos presentó una colección llena de encajes en colores rojos, azules, blanco y negro que realzan la belleza de las delicadas piezas. Toda la propuesta estuvo compuesta de vestidos en diferentes largos, excelentes para adaptar los “looks” a las variadas fiestas en esta época navideña. Las capas cautivaron la atención de los asistentes y le dieron carácter medieval a la pasarela.

    This fall / winter 2014 will be one filled with glamor and elegance. Tadashi Shoji presented a collection full of lace in red, blue, black and white to enhance the beauty of the delicate pieces. The entire proposal was composed of dresses in different lengths, great for adapting the looks to the various parties this holiday season. Capes captured the attention of the audience and gave medieval character to the runway.

    Tal y como pronostican los noticiarios, este otoño/invierno 2014 será uno muy frío en los países del hemisferio norte. Tommy Hilfiger pudo prever esto y diseñó una colección para esta temporada llena de lana y rayas. En la propuesta se reinventó el tradicional abrigo de lana que realmente nos protege de las bajas temperaturas y lo convirtió en una pieza moderna, que moldea la silueta del cuerpo y no nos aburre por su falta de color. Asimismo añadió a la colección vestidos largos y cortos, pantalones en tela mahón, pantalones cortos, ponchos, y suéteres XL.

    As predicted in the news, this fall/winter 2014 will be a very cold one in the northern hemisphere countries. Tommy Hilfiger foresaw this and designed a collection for this season full of wool and stripes. In the proposal, the traditional wool coat that actually protects us from the cold weather was turned it into a modern piece that shapes the body silhouette and does not bore us with its lack of color.     Múltiples opciones para otoño/invierno 2014. Esto fue lo que nos ofreció Chanel en su desfile para esta temporada. Tal y como la variedad de personas que entran a un supermercado, así fue la propuesta presentada en pasarela. Te desglosamos las tendencias que dominaron esta pasarela:

    1.   El clásico “tweed”: en tonos claros y oscuros; abrigos de mediana y larga longitud y diferentes grosores; “suits” de falda y pantalón.

    2. Tejidos en lana: en colores pasteles y oscuros; “leggings” y “turtle necks” de cuello ancho.

    3. Textiles tornasoles y con brillo.

    4. Estampados de coloridas figuras geométricas.

    5. Piezas en cuero en color negro y plata.

    6. “Chunky chains”.

    Tengo que confesarles que esta tendencia que nos trajo Burberry Prorsum para otoño es mi preferida. Es simple y elegante; transforma cualquier pieza de ropa. Para lograr este “look” vas a necesitar una bufanda ancha y larga en estampados florales y coloridos. Segundo, necesitarán un cinturón para la cintura. Este puede ser del ancho de tu preferencia. Tercero, coloca la bufanda sobre tu traje, conjunto de camisa y falda o pantalón o sobre tu abrigo o chaqueta. Culmina los pasos amarrando la correa a la cintura y listo, tendrán el look más hot del otoño.

    Una propuesta minimalista fue lo que nos ofreció Missoni para la temporada de otoño/invierno 2014. El anaranjado, el amarillo y el azul protagonizaron las piezas confeccionadas en textiles más gruesos de lo característico por Missoni, acorde con la temporada. La innovación estuvo en el poco e intencional uso del famoso patrón de zig zag que identifica la marca. Botas al tobillo y medias color crema acompañaron la vestimenta otoñal.

    A minimalist approach was offered by Missoni for fall/winter 2014. Orange, yellow and blue were protagonists in the pieces made of a thicker textile than typical, appropriate to the season. The innovation was in the little and intentional use of the famous zig zag pattern that identifies the brand. Ankle boots and cream stockings accompanied the fall clothing.

  • Oscar de la Renta y su negra propuesta para otoño

    La elegancia y opulencia se apoderan de las tendencias este otoño con la colección de Oscar de la Renta. El negro tomó el centro de atención. Éste fue mezclado con pelaje blanco, transparencias y llamativos gráficos. Entre los tonos fuertes que acompañaron el negro se encontraron el rojo y azul. En la estampa de trajes de gala pudimos ver un cambio en la paleta de colores, cuando el negro se fusionó con colores pasteles y con el elegante color oro.

    The elegance and opulence seize the trends this fall with Oscar de la Renta’s collection. Color black took the spotlight. This was mixed with white fur, transparencies and bold graphics. Among the strong tones that accompanied the black were red and blue. In the gowns section we saw a change in the color palette when black merged with pastel colors and the elegant gold.

    La temporada de otoño se caracteriza porque las temperaturas comienzan a bajar y las hojas a cambiar de color y caerse. Nada florece. Pero los diseñadores decidieron cambiar eso esta temporada de otoño/invierno 2014. Incorporaron flores como complemento a sus piezas de ropa y voilá, tenemos lo bello de la primavera todo el año. Tal y como lo utilizaron los diseñadores, busca accesorios con flores grandes y coloridas. Balancea una vestimenta en colores sólidos o estampados no muy llamativos con estas piezas claves y obtendrás un look diferente, elegante y arriesgado.

They incorporated flowers as a complement to their garmets and violá, we have the beauty of spring all year round. Just as they designers used it, find accessories with big and colorful flowers.     Ya llegó la temporada de otoño y con ella las nuevas tendencias en maquillaje. Una parte clave en el maquillaje de la mujer es la manera de llevar los ojos. Dicen que la mirada es el reflejo del alma y como mujeres modernas queremos que nuestra alma refleje lo modernas, fuertes y arriegadas que somos.   • Desfile de Lilliam Landrón “Young and Beautiful” | Otoño/Invierno 2014

    La diseñadora Lilliam Ladrón presentó su propuesta para la temporada Otoño/Invierno 2014 titulada “Young & Beautiful” al estilo de los años del ‘20s. El desfile se llevó a cabo en La Bodega de Méndez en Ponce el sábado, 3 de mayo de 2014.

    “Young & Beautiful” estuvo inspirado en la opulencia, el glamour y la elegancia de los años ‘20s al estilo de El Gran Gatsby. Además, influenciaron la colección el amor de Jay y la belleza de Daisy, protagonistas del libro de F. Scott Fitzgerald, junto al ambiente de las grandes fiestas y galas que desatacaban a Long Island a pesar de la situación económica de la época. La colección estuvo dirigida a la mujer que gusta de la elegancia y el glamour con gran femineidad perfecto para las fiestas de fin de año y eventos sociales.

    La colección contó con textiles en encajes, flecos, organza, charmeuse de seda en colores metálicos en dorado y plateado. En el desfile participaron modelos de las agencias Joy Pics by Joey Cruz, G Mo by Gretchen Capó, Única by Desiree Lowry y Loud by Eleot Cartagena. Maquillaje y peinado a cargo de Eksor y tocados por Larox.

    Designer Lilliam Landrón presented her proposal for Fall/Winter 2014 titled “Young & Beautiful” in the ’20s style. The show was held in La Bodega de Mendez in Ponce on Saturday, May 3, 2014.

    “Young & Beautiful” was inspired by the opulence, glamor and elegance of the ’20s style of The Great Gatsby. Also Jay’s love and Daisy’s beauty, main characters of the book by F. Scott Fitzgerald; the atmosphere of the big parties and galas that distinguished Long Island despite the economic situation of the time influenced the collection. The collection was aimed at women who like elegance and glamor with great femininity, perfect for year-end parties and social events.

    The collection featured textiles in lace, fringe, organza, silk charmeuse in metallic colors in gold and silver. Models from Joy Pics by Joey Cruz, G Models by Gretchen Capó, Única by Desiree Lowry and Loud by Eleot Cartagena walked the runway. Hair and makeup was done by Eksor and the headpieces where made by Larox.

  • Luis Antonio “Trés Chic” Otoño/Invierno 2014

    El diseñador Luis Antonio presentó en el Antiguo Casino de Puerto Rico su colección para la temporada de otoño/invierno 2014 la cual tituló “Trés Chic”. En la pasarela combinó la influencia francesa con el “Art Deco”, lo que resultó en una propuesta elegante y llena de ricos textiles, texturas y colores. Los colores sólidos,  flores hechos en lentejuelas, el llamativo “animal print” y los gráficos metálicos formaron las hermosas piezas. Luis Antonio ofreció en su colección piezas tanto para hombres como para mujeres.

    Fashion designer Luis Antonio presented in Puerto Rico’s “Antiguo Casino” his collection for fall/winter 2014 titled “Trés Chic”. The runway combined the french influence with the Art Deco, which resulted in an elegant and rich in textiles, textures and color proposal. Solid colors, sequin made flowers, the statement animal print and the metallic graphics gave shape to the beautiful pieces. Luis Antonio offered in his collection pieces both for men and woman.
