    Narciso Rodriguez x Zara available now

    The chic collaboration you where waiting for just happened. Cuban-American Designer Narciso Rodriguez united with ZARA to create a capsule exclusive collection available online and on selected stores.

    The 25 items of clothing and accessories in the new Narciso Rodriguez x Zara, all drawn from his archive, are proof of that. Good design endures.

    “This has been an amazing experience for me,” says Rodriguez of working with Zara. “It was great to go through the archive and revisit things that we loved. It also great to see them through Zara´s design team fresh eyes. They are such a professional team excited about each piece and making sure the essence of the original ones are maintained.”

    The Narciso Rodriguez x Zara collection reflects both his sharp sense of architecture and the intimacy he established with the body. What made a  Rodriguez dress so sexy was not that it was tight-fitting or revealing, but that the body underneath always remained free.

    “There’s a beautiful slip dress in the collection that’s bias-cut and with interesting seaming,” he notes. “It’s what people think of when they think of my brand. It’s very liquid. It flows  over the body.”

    “Working with Zara is eye-opening, because everyone is so aware of what’s going on in the world and in fashion,” Rodriguez says. “They have really enthusiastic, energetic people, and they were excited about every aspect of this collaboration. And that was fun for me—to see people who weren’t around when these clothes were first shown, now celebrating and enjoying them as much as we did 20 years ago.”

  • TIPS PARA EL OUTFIT DEL DÍA DEL AMOR: HOMBRES

    1. Utiliza colores neutros como el gris, negro y el azul marino.

    2. Combínalos con colores más llamativos.

    3. Si vas a un evento casual, utiliza:

    • camisa de mangas cortas
    • un “sweater”
    • tshirt con algún gráfico o diseño y  chaqueta o un abrigo en cuero o tela liviana (“cardigan”)
    • pantalón de vestir “slim cut” y sin pliegues.
    • denim o mahón en tono oscuro o los “wax pants”
    • zapatos de vestir
    • tennis o botas que no sean deportivas.
    1. Si vas a un evento formal, utiliza:
    • chaqueta
    • camisa de manga larga
    • pantalones y zapatos de vestir
    • look monocromático
    • combinar los colores que mencionamos anteriormente
    1. El chaleco, la corbata o el lazo son opcionales, pero el pañuelo en el bolsillo bien doblado llevará tu look a otro nivel.

    6.La clave son los detalles. Puede ser una textura, una línea de un color, unas costuras o gráficos (letras, diseños, dibujos). Escoge un detalle a resaltar y deja lo demás simple y clásico.

    • combining the colors mentioned above
    1. The vest, tie or bow are optional, but a neatly folded handkerchief in the pocket will take your look to another level.

    6. The key is the details. It can be achieved with texture in fabrics, color lines, seams or graphics (letters, designs, drawings). Choose a detail to highlight and leave the rest simple and classic.

  • Tips para el outfit del Día del Amor: Mujeres

    1. Centra tu elección del “outfit” alrededor de los tonos blanco, negro. Añade diversión y color con estampados bohemios, florales o de líneas en colores.
    1. Enfócate en escoger un detalle en las mangas, en el cuello de la blusa o el traje, “zippers” y    costuras.

    2. Un vestido será tu mejor aliado.

    3. Si vas a llevar falda o pantalón de vestir, procura hacer una combinación inusual en tí, como estampado arriba y pantalón o falda negra abajo o viceversa.

    ***IMPORTANTE: no utilizar estampados con estampados o accesorios que conflijan con los detalles de la ropa para que no te veas muy cargada. Recuerden que menos es más.

    La clave es pensar cuál de estas tendencias que mencioné es la menos que utilizas, y entonces escoger esa para que te veas diferente.

    Y si deseas ponerte alguna pieza alusiva al día del amor, escoge sólo una pieza en color rojo o rosa como la camisa o el pantalón. Pero recomiendo como la mejor manera de mantener el balance poniendo en práctica los tips anteriores es utilizando accesorios en color rojo o rosado o alusivos a corazones y besos
