    La época navideña llegó y con ella muchos eventos y fiestas. Y como toda fashionista, siempre quieres verte deslumbrante y sobresalir con tu vestimenta y maquillaje. Por eso nos dimos a la tarea de investigar las tendencias de maquillaje para esta temporada.

    Nuestros amigos de Bobbi Brown de Macy’s en Plaza del Caribe en Ponce realizaron tres maquillajes en nuestras modelos: glamouroso, pra las chicas juniors y uno bohemio. Todo esto y mucho más lo verás en el video a continuación.

    Christmas time arrived and with it many events and parties. And like every fashionista, you always want to look stunning and stand with your attire and makeup. So we took on the task of investigating the makeup trends for this season.

    Our friends from Bobbi Brown in Macy’s Plaza del Caribe in Ponce made three makeups to our models: a glamorous look, one for juniors and the bohemian look. You will see all this and more in the video below.

    We want to give a special thanks to Johann Montes Pizarro, Cosmetics Department Manager at Macy’s Ponce for all your help and disposition.     Nuestros amigos de Laura Mercier de Macy’s en Plaza del Caribe en Ponce realizaron dos maquillajes en nuestras modelos: uno de  gala, para esa actividad más formal; y uno coctel, con tonalidades claras para llevar de día o para personas que no les guste el maquillaje intenso. Todo esto y mucho más lo verás en el video a continuación.

  • Hair Tutorial: Curls with no heat

    Want curls without having to go through the heat of the curling iron? I will be explaining how to do curls without the heat.

    What do you need?

    • Bobby pins , estimated of 20-30 of these
    • Brush to de-tangle your hair
    • Water (optional, this one can be done on damp or dry hair)
    • Hairspray (optional, it helps for the curls in place for the day)
    • Bandanna or hair net (optional, if you leave it overnight is better to wrap your hair to keep it from becoming undone)

    Part I. Wrapping Curls

    Step 1 Wrapping Curls: Section off the hair that you want to curl.

    Step 2: De-tangle your hair using a brush.

    Step 3: If you are going for wet hair, dip your fingers in water and run them thought your hair.

    Step 4: Place your index and middle finger close to the root of your hair, then wrap around these two fingers. Make sure its tight because if no it would lose the shape.

    Step 5: Once it’s wrapped around the finger, gently slide your hair with two fingers (while keeping the shape). Use your other hand and immediately lie flat against your scalp.

    Step 6: Secure with two booby pins by criss – crossing them over one another.

    Step 7: Continue on this method until your hair is curled.

    Step 8: If you are planning leaving the hair overnight, place your bandanna or hair net over your hair.

    Part II. Revealing Curls:

    1. Carefully remove bobby pins; the hair will automatically fall into a curl.
    2. Tease the hair if desired or leave curls as they are.
    3. Spray in hairspray to keeps the curls in place.

  • Domina el maquillaje básico

    El pasado domingo tuve la oportunidad de participar de “Beso por una Causa” a beneficio de la fundación Women Helping Others de BeautiControl. Allí tomé un taller de maquillaje básico para el día y como transformarlo a la noche. En el video de abajo les muestro todos los pasos a seguir para lograr ese look.

    Pendientes que la próxima semana les mostraré un recuento de todo lo que aconteció en el evento y entrevistas a los organizadores.

    Last Sunday I had the opportunity to participate in “Kiss for a Cause” for BeautiControl’s Women Helping Others foundation. There, I took a day basic makeup workshop that taught how to transform it into a night makeup. In the video below I show you all the steps to achieve this look.

    Stay tuned because next week I will show a recap of everything that took place in this event and interviews of the event’s organizers.
