33:3 by Linda Liz multifunctional athleisure and swimwear debut at NYFW

33:3 by Linda Liz debuted as part of Flying Solo’s runway show during New York Fashion Week. The brand was created with the woman who has a warrior spirit.

The essence of the brand is feminine fused with an urban-futuristic twist. 33:3 is an athleisure and swimwear brand that focuses on inclusive, adaptive innovation, and sustainability. The pieces are designed to be multifunctional and reversible that not only expand your wardrobe, but also the lifespan of each style.

“R3stor3d” is the name of the collection that is inspired in the healing that redirects the obstacles conquered into intentional actions that equips people to navigate the journey of becoming and fulfill your divine self. The color pallet was a refreshing combination of opal blue and pale peach contrasted with monotone strong tones inspired by embracing our graceful yet empowering divine femininity.

“33:3 is here to embrace and celebrate your individuality as you seek perfect harmony within your mind, body, and soul,” said Linda Liz.

The brand was born in honor of Linda Liz’s younger sister Coco who, besides being a sister, a brave mother and professional, is also an oncology and ostomy patient. Linda Liz felt the need to develop a line that made her feel included while also embracing her trend-forward personality. After undergoing an ostomy procedure, she felt ostracized from fashion, and she wanted to make her feel loved and included with 33:3. Now, Coco and other warriors like her can confidently style their ostomy bag with their attire.

  • TINY WORLD LLEGA A NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

TINY WORLD LLEGA A NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

On September 8, 2016 a dream came true. Fashion designer in the making René Mejía presented a capsule collection at The Art Institute fashion show during New York Fashion Week. This show is well expected among the fashion industry because it gives the audience and media the chance to meet firsthand the big fashion designers of the near future. One of them is René Mejía. For the event, 60 collections were submitted and only 9 were selected, and lucky for Mejía, he was one of them. The young designer represented The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale. The collection was inspired by the 1873’s Edgar Degas Painting of the Rehearsal of the Ballerinas. The silhouettes and color pallet as well as the fabrics were directly selected because of the painting’s influence on the designer.

Carolina Herrera New York Fashion Week RTW Spring Summer 2016 September 2015
    CAROLINA HERRERA

    ****

Carolina Herrera is in her rose period for Spring 2016, creating a collection about tranquility, not stillness but calm elegance – where transparency and illusion evoke sensuality.

Sheer layering with silk and variations of techno fabric from appliqués on tulle to all-over panels suggest lightness, floating on the body – an impression of pleats in motion – underscoring clothes can be sensual and revealing but still leave “something for the imagination.”

Leather and organza paillettes and touches of feather embroidery on soft silhouettes harmonize with raised hemlines, embodying an attitude of uncomplicated style. The spectrum of rose, pale blush to a bold fuchsia, acts as a rich palette to explore for both neutrals and strong accents.
