En el nuevo y exclusivo Gold Room del San Juan Resort & Casino dió inicio la semana más importante de la moda en Puerto Rico: San Juan Moda. Como apertura del evento y preámbulo de la magna celebración, la organización comenzó con el pie derecho.
De la mano de Maybelline Puerto Rico y otros auspiciadores se celebró el desfile de Eclíptica para primavera/verano 2016. Titulado “The Greatest Show on Earth”, las hermanas Otero se inspiraron en el gran suceso histórico en el mundo del espectáculo de 1919 donde los dos circos más importantes del mundo, Ringling Brothers y Barnum & Bailey Circus se unieron en Nueva York en el show más grande del mundo para esa época.
Las diseñadoras, que también celebraron su aniversario #15 en las pasarelas que pueden ver aquí, se mantuvieron fieles a su estética que las distingue y utilizaron encajes, flecos, bordados junto a innovadores estampados que crearon inspirados en el circo. El negro y el blanco se impusieron en pasarela, pero mostraron opciones en vivo color. Las modelos llevaron 41 cambios de ropa que engalanaron la pasarela. El maquillaje estuvo bajo la dirección de Germán O. Mirabal y el peinado por Lio Maldonado.

In the new and exclusive Gold Rom at the San Juan Resort & Casino began the most important fashion week in Puerto Rico: San Juan Moda. As the opening of the event and preamble of the magna celebration the organization started on the right foot.
Thanks to Maybelline Puerto Rico and other sponsors was celebrated Ecliptica’s spring/summer 2016 show. Titled “The Greatest Show on Earth”, the Otero sisters were inspired by the 1919 great historical event in the entertainment world where the two largest circuses in the world, Ringling Brothers and Barnum & Bailey Circus joined in New York and held the world’s largest show for that time.
The designers, who also celebrated their 15th anniversary on the runways, that you can watch here, remained true to their aesthetic that distinguishes them and used lace, tassels, embroidery with innovative prints that they created inspired by the circus. The black and white were imposed on the catwalk, but they also showed vivid color options. The models showed 41 changes of clothes that graced the runway. The makeup was led by Germán O. Mirabal and the hairstyles by Lio Maldonado.
