San Juan Moda celebrated its Resort edition at the Wyndham Gardens in Palmas del Mar, Humacao, Puerto Rico. The shows that we will see were celebrated in the hotel pool. The collections presented were small, but varied to meet the needs of exclusivity, luxury and functionality that resort clothing lovers seek.

Tommie Hernandez delighted the attendees around the pool with her collection “En mi Viejo San Juan“. This bathing suits proposal for men and women had unique prints of the cobblestones, buildings and emblematic places of Old San Juan. The color palette was quite concrete, matching the prints with the classic black and white and giving color with shades of coppery orange and red. The swimsuits were accompanied by hats from El Galpón, known for their exclusive Panama hats.

Hermán Nadal once again surprised the public with a romantic, fresh and youthful collection. Taking the use of denim to the maximum of creativity, Nadal incorporated pieces of this textile with white cotton. Details like ruffles and marked seams maintained the innovative and out of the box style that characterizes the novel designer. The proposal took the pieces from day to night and the main accessory was the sporty shoes.

David Antonio closed the pool shows with a collection for ladies and gentlemen inspired by our African roots. Like all of his resort collections, the designer offer went from swimsuits and coverups, to long sleeved shirts and evening dresses. Despite a full section of white full of cotton, David Antonio filled the runway with prints and color. The collection provided fluent and fresh resort styles perfect for the high temperatures of the Caribbean.
