The MODS Museum, first digital museum in the U.S.

By Rosangely Gómez

A tech and design company, Dahoo, presented the new Museum of Dream Space (MODS) during the Summer of 2019. The museum design concept is inspired by the works of Japanease artist Yayoi Kusama. Kusama is known for his famous infinite rooms. As described by The Arts Story, digital art encapsulates an artistic work or practice that uses any form of digital technology as part of its creation or presentation process. MODS main goal is to “provide an imerse, magical and unique art appreciative experiences to the visitors.” Within this art genre the spectator and work of art interact with one another. The limitations of a canvas and paint is broken and a new world of expression and creativity is born with virtual, augmented, mixed and extended reality.
