| Un gran grupo de galeristas, artistas, coleccionistas y espectadores boricuas tuvieron participación en Art Basel Miami Beach 2014.
La presencia Boricua brilló en la que es considerada la principal feria de arte de las Américas, mundialmente reconocida como Art Basel Miami Beach, que trae cada año a la ciudad más de 75,000 artistas, visitantes, compradores y profesionales de la industria. La semana del arte se celebró este año del tres al siete de este mes y el talento puertorriqueño no pasó desapercibido. Durante la primera edición de 3A Exhibition, una exhibición de arte presentada por 3AWORLDWIDE, una de las agencias de mayor crecimiento en Norte América, el puertorriqueño Andrew A. Antonaccio y el cubano Filio Gálvez, conocidos como “Dos Alas”, presentaron durante cuatro días,1994, un conjunto de obras de grafito sobre papel con las cuales rindieron tributo al éxodo Cubano que tuvo lugar hace veinte años. El artista español Manuel Fernández, presentó su internacionalmente conocido Fashion Art, una colección de trajes sobre los cuales diez artistas puertorriqueños: Antonio Martorell, Rafael Trelles, Sebastián Vallejo, Rafael Rivera Rosa, Marlene Hernández Casillas, Cacheila Soto, Joshua Santos Rivera “Ismo,” David Zayas, Nelson Figueroa y Bernardo Medina, plasmaron sus ideas utilizando la ropa como un lienzo, borrando así con esta obra, la delgada línea que siempre ha dividido el arte y la moda. Esta presentación fue un trabajo en conjunto entre el Museo de las Américas de Puerto Rico quién ofreció a ocho estudiantes de la Escuela de Artes Plásticas de Puerto Rico y a dos estudiantes de la Universidad del Turabo, la oportunidad para confeccionar los diez trajes que fueron la obra maestra de esta exhibición. Todas estas piezas representan el estilo, la técnica y la visión personal de cada artista. Los estudiantes Victor González, Rocío Nuñez, Zahideliz Aquino, Christopher Santana y Luis Santiago, entre otros, contribuyeron al éxito de estas piezas al prestarse como la mano derecha de los artistas. “Para nosotros fue un honor contar con estos artistas puertorriqueños durante nuestra primera edición de 3A Exhibition. The Art Week was held this year from 3 to 7 this month and Puerto Rican talent did not go unnoticed. During the first edition of 3A Exhibition, an art exhibition by 3AWORLDWIDE, one of the fastest growing agencies in North America, Puerto Rican Andrew A. Antonaccio and Cuban Filio Galvez, known as “Two Wings”, presented for four days, 1994, a group of works on paper with graphite which paid tribute to Cuban exodus that took place twenty years ago. The Spanish artist Manuel Fernandez, introduced his internationally renowned “Fashion Art”, a collection of costumes on which ten Puerto Rican artist Antonio Martorell, Rafael Trelles, Sebastian Vallejo, Rafael Rivera Rosa, Marlene Hernandez Casillas, Cacheila Soto, Joshua Santos Rivera “Ismo, “David Zayas, Nelson Figueroa and Bernardo Medina, captured their ideas using clothes as a canvas, thus erasing this work, the thin line that has always divided the art and fashion. This presentation was a joint project between the Museum of The Americas in Puerto Rico who offered to eight students from the School of Visual Arts in Puerto Rico and two students from the Universidad del Turabo, the opportunity to make the ten costumes were the work master of this exhibition. All these pieces represent the style, technique and personal vision of each artist. Students Victor Gonzalez, Rocio Nuñez, Zahideliz Aquino, Christopher Santana and Luis Santiago, among others, contributed to the success of these pieces to be paid as the right hand of the artist. “For us it was an honor to have these Puerto Rican artists during our first edition of 3A Exhibition.
